A garden is noticeably absent around our flat, living within spitting distance of Big Ben.
Instead, we have central London’s answer to the good life.
An Allotment..Here on a good day I can live the dream working on my smallholding,where the only sounds are the rustling of the leaves and bird song before im brought back to the sounds and reality of central London! Hidden behind trees and a high fence you could be forgiven for thinking that what lies behind is derelict land but to me and 40 others its our secret garden
I signed on the dotted line and became a tenant of plot 29 in July 2006. In March 2007 this website was born. This is my first attempt at growing veggies and my first attempt at building my own website.
My site will be about me trying to grow things along with my other interests cooking, quilting, vintage..too many to mention here!
I’m currently trying to turn my plot around from a mini orchard at the back. There are around nine plum trees and bramble there with couch covering the front “.Oh, and the bloody weeds, that are six foot in places.”
So, i apologize now if the odd four letter word appears occasionally, and i don’t mean peas either….
Hopefully it will be in full production by 2009 Ha. I kid you not….
