I will be growing this fig tree in a large container with a smaller pot inside to restrict the roots which will aid fruiting. The brown turkey fig is fully hardy and one of the oldest fruits in cultivation….

Love the fig. I had never seen a fig grow until we moved here 15 years ago. The lady who lived next door at the time had a fig tree. Her husband had brought it over from the old country. Unfortunately, both the lady and the fig tree have passed. I do love your plant and wish you luck with it.

I have a Brown Turkey fig–in the ground in my garden. It’s the one recommended for our climate, but it’s been there two years and still trying to establish. No figs yet–it gets them, but then they fall off or dry up when they are tiny. Hopefully it will come through with a crop before too many years!
Happy GTS,
