allotment update this n that
I’m amazed that my plums didn’t have any worms in them this year! I don’t know why as i haven’t treated them with anything ( which was my intention last year) they were full of the little blighters. I had planned to give them a winter wash but didn’t get around to it….
Also my toms are doing well these are alicante and gardeners delight..
My butternut is starting to fruit. I was getting worried about those as other plot holders had lots of flowers, then i remembered that i had planted mine a few weeks after them.. duh
I’m so chuffed with my peppers theres eight teeny fruits on one plant and four on the other, both have lots of flowers.
Whey hey. They survived!
I forgot my camera over the weekend so ill update soon….
Also i have ordered some more fruit bushes - Thats for another post!
Jobs done this weekend…
- started to dig the strawberry bed
- hoed the paths
- gave raspberries a boost with potash
- harvest courgettes
- thinned out toms
- pulled up blackcurrant bush that i planted last Nov.. No sign of life!
- talked to my peppers…wee heee… while weeding around them
