These have such pretty leaves; i find them fascinating …
I planted these near the path, which in hindsight was a mistake after reading they will collapse - “thats normal” and will spread. Whoops.. [Early on, they'll not need much growing space but later they take up a fair amount of room, so choose your growing space wisely, and plant with quicker maturing crops] Stable door and bolting horse spring to mind. Cant put it right, So, no point in dwelling on it - dam and blast or words to that effect…
Lesson learned: Read up on something you haven’t grown before, not the other way round…

The leaves are very unusual. I have a picture of them dropping to the ground and crawling across the allotment like soldiers on an exercise.
After years of gardening I still put things in the wrong place or too close together.
