plot update 28/9
My Courgettes/Summer Squash, have now finished. So.. Here’s a recap …
I planted two Green Button patty pan, which incidentally were yellow?
These were great, had loads off each plant which we ate grated raw in salads and steamed whole. Ill definitely grow these next season as we never tired of them..
The Pattison Orange patty pan were really slow to flower.
At the beginning there were only a couple of fruits. Then.. a bit like buses they all came at once, leaving me with the dilemma of what to do with them.. They were quite nice roasted with a little olive oil and i tried them steamed but wasn’t keen “very bland”
Yellow Courgette Golden Dawn were prolific.
Couldn’t keep up with them, along with my dwarf bush courgette verde di milano. I still have quite a few chopped up and frozen waiting to be used (not sure how long they will freeze for) but for now were taking a little rest from them as the family are sick of the sight of them! they have even suggested that i don’t grow them next year.. That bad!
My camera is back from Mexico. So i shall do an update soon, hopefully ill be able to get some pics this weekend.
