Sprouted
All of my toms have germinated. Last year they seemed to take forever - being my first year i was constantly checking and it was like the old adage [a watched pot never boils] oh the excitement when one popped up!!
They took six to Ten days in their little impromptu mini greenhouses on my kitchen windowsill; I need to get some more pots though, as i had popped two seeds in each and they are all now doing fine.
I may have to consider giving a few to my brother-in-law as i have now doubled up to twelve plants and im not sure ill have room for all of them.
I had thought of keeping some in pots or grow bags but that could cause problems with watering on hot days [wishful thinking] Going down to the Lottie twice a day is just not practical! Neither is putting them in my garden [my shared garden] they wouldn’t survive the school summer holidays.. The sooner my neighbours kids out grow playing pirates and start to notice girls the better i say!

I think I’ll use your plastic bag idea. My peppers have reached the top of the propagator so they’ll have to come out soon. A bag should keep them that bit warmer, I’ll poke a few holes in for ventilation

Lovely - I haven’t started my tomatoes yet - but my seed has now arrived - so any day soon.
I love your blog

I am cheered up by the sights of tomato seedlings at this time of year. The plants are rather quite pretty!
Instead of plastic bags, if you buy drinks in plastic bottles, you could use those (unless you are saving them to build a greenhouse!).
