take two
A four legged fiend has dug up two of my butter boy squash and one of my hooligan pumpkins that i planted out last week. Now i have to decide whether to plant more into pots or go for the direct approach !
I have finished sieving through my compost to get the dreaded bindweed roots out, at times it was becoming worryingly obsessive. Hubs said i looked like i was panning for gold “with the look of sheer determination i had on my face”. I have to admit the weirdest dream i had this weekend where i was cultivating bindweed on my plot. Just bindweed - in all my raised beds, i even had it growing up wigwams. Now that is sad and just a tad worrying !

I’d go for pots, safer in the long run - and a small electric fence after planting.
