Trying to find a happy medium/green thumb sunday
Edited
As I’m not near my computer this weekend i have cheated slightly by using Thursdays post… :>)
Cutting through the jungle at the back of my plot is turning out to be a bitter sweet experience!
There are so many wild flowers/weeds there that I’m reluctant to kill them all off, something ill probably regret when i have to hoe!
I came across this teasel (picture taken a few weeks back)
I seem to have more than my fair share of ground ivy too. Perhaps i should consider selling mine or at least learn to like it as it going to be around for some time. Being a perennial its got no plans to leave without a fight!

Interesting plant. Is that the ivy under the teasel? Happy GTS,

Hi! Just coming around on Green Thumb Sunday. That is a beautiful little purple baby! BUT…my ears and eyes went on alert when you mentioned your “Ground Ivy”…I think this is what is allllllllll over my back yard….in a sort of wild section, and all over the fence, etc. It is even crawling all over my concrete area out there…you are right…it takes an act of God to rid your yard of it! LOL. Funny…I think I am growing fond of it! H aha hahaha!

The teasel looks lovely.
A little spiky for my taste though.
Enjoy

Sounds like you have a bit of a dilema, the teazels can be quite an addition but if you are short on space i suppose something will have to give. I bet you really value your allotment living where you do, do many other people go around spitting at Big Ben to judge where they live…lol
