Its a bit of a standing joke here - If its standing still then ill paint it..
Hubs thinks i was a decorator in a previous life or possibly a frustrated furniture restorer.
I love rummaging round salvage yards/charity shops/junk shops, aways have. If its a choice between an auction and ikea then the auction wins every time, much to hubs dismay. He just doesn’t get it, its junk and why would i want other peoples junk..
I spied this hiding in a salvage yard a while ago, oh, hubs was not impressed one bit. Took some persuading i can tell you, we stood bickering for ages, but home it came. Ha.. I won.
I needed some storage and this fitted the bill nicely. Hubs couldn’t see past the horrible brown wood, said the only thing that was fit for was a bomb fire. Anyhow i manged to haggle them down from twenty pounds to fifteen. Then my significant other half thought it funny to ask if they were going to pay us the fifteen to take it off their hands - LOL
Here’s the before getting its first undercoat..
And here it is finished - I need to get some knobs for the drawers and doors.
I used Fired Earth “Chalky White” paint. Which has turned out cream…
Not bad ah…
