after spending weeks
Coveting, protecting, feeding and watering… ok, maybe watering is taking it too far with the weather we’ve had this year.. you cut some to bring home, then wonder what to do with it having never eaten it before?… You spend early evening looking through your recipe collection (what should have been 10 minutes turns into 4 hours of drooling over glossy photos) while ignoring the cries of hunger and “how long will dinner be” from the non paying guests .. “They treat the place like a hotel at times”… Kids. Tut. Tut..
At eight thirty (late for us) you dish up lamb cutlets with saute potatoes with this….
Stir fried kale
INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 bunches kale - washed, dried, and shredded
DIRECTIONS
Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large frying pan. Add onions and garlic; cook and stir until soft.
Stir in kale, and cook until wilted. Serve hot
Only to here cries of errrr cabbage “no, its kale” only to be left on the plate.
I give up…..Kids!

Kids … How ungrateful! But their taste will change and I’m sure one day they will appreciate your home grown vegetables. I’m sure you enjoyed it yourself.
The recipe sounds nice and had I grown kale this year I would have tried it! Will have to file it for another year …
