did the earth move for you last night!

It certainly did here in London with the earthquake a hundred plus miles away, which recorded on the Richter-scale  around 5.2.

Had me spooked watching objects rattling across worktops and tables. I. was just about to retire to bed around 1am when it happened. An earthquake was the last thing on my mind. We get tiddlers that largely go unnoticed and very rarely a biggie - OK by some countries standards not so big, but i can tell you this had me spooked, hardly slept thinking we had a visitor from the other-side. For most of the night i kept imagining i could here someone moving around or something.. Then in the morning i received a phone call from my daughter who lives nearer to where it happened.

“There was an earthquake near me last night”

Oh, so that’s what is was! “what you felt it there” Nope  just things started to rattle about i didn’t actually feel anything, thought i had a visitor of the ghostly kind, hardly slept a wink!

“Oh mum” What!..What else am i supposed to think we don’t get earthquakes here that often about every 30 years or so. I cant help it if iv got a vivid imagination.

And on that note: It should be fun seeing what Google makes of my title for this post…
